our city
The City of Marysville is a growing suburb of the greater Seattle area. Located just north of Everett, Marysville is situated between the Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains.
Marysville is only a thirty-mile commute to downtown Seattle, a fifteen-minute commute to Boeing’s main plant, and a thirty minute commute to Microsoft. Marysville also has large tracts of open land that are quickly being consumed by residential developments. Property costs are relatively low and attract many first time homeowners. Also, as Seattle grows larger and land between the mountains and the Sound becomes more scarce, anyone interested in buying a new home will have to look in Marysville, Everett, or Lake Stevens.
The largest majority of Marysville’s population are young couples. These couples have one to two children, a median age of 33.2, a combined income of approximately $70,000, and work in gray-collar or white-collar professions. Not only is there little church work that targeted at these young couples, but the community itself is in dire need of redemption from a community of missionaries willing to love and serve the city.
